Bhaktivedanta Hospital is a modern hospital, providing comprehensive state of the art healthcare facilities for all varieties of diagnostic, medical, surgical and critical cases using the latest hi-tech equipment. It is established as a tribute to India’s greatest spiritual ambassador, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Mira-Bhayander, in the western suburbs of Mumbai, is inhabited with a population of nearly 1.5 million people comprising of lower middle &Middle class families. There are lot of villages in and around the vicinity with more than 30% of the people living below poverty line, including more than 50,000 construction workers and their families living in hutments and construction sites. These people work on paltry wages not even enough to meet their physiological needs and prefer to lead a life of suffering and pain due to acute scarcity in income to go for a medical treatment.

The Hospital has launched a unique Outreach Program specially framed for the betterment of these unlucky souls. The technically well equipped COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE Centre located will operate OPD’s / IPD’s on various disciplines and provide comprehensive healthcare treatment to all deserving patients at a very concessional price and in most cases free.

  • Bhaktivedanta Hospital has appointed qualified MD, MS – Physician & Surgeons are screening patients for various ailments (eg: Cataract) by visiting different deprived localities and provide basic treatment then & there itself.

  • The outreach programs are conducted in two segment

    • Concessional/Free OPD’s: All deserving patients are being diagnosed for a nominal charge of Rs. 20/- only and the subsequent treatment are concessional/free depending upon the gravity of the case.
    • Mobile Clinic:  Patients are detected for various diseases through this mobile clinic by visiting the interiors and providing them with medical relief.

  • Follow up Visits & critical cases are directed to our Community Health Centre, wherein the patients who require further medication are nurtured and brought back to normalcy.

  • All IPD patients admitted under the outreach Program are given free counseling for Life Style Modification and psychological stability.

  • The Outreach Program through Mobile Clinic and the Community Health Centre are closely interconnected. In the FIRST phase the Mobile Clinic was made functional which in turn resulted in the SECOND phase of Community Health Centre, once the work load increased. In fact both were part of Community Outreach Activities aimed at providing Free and Concessional treatment to the needy.

Distinctive feature of the hospital is its Department of Spiritual Care, which imparts spiritual counseling not only to the patients but also their relatives and the employees. It is our experience that spiritual care helps the patients to cope up with the stress of their ailments and creates everlasting emotional bonds between them and the Hospital.

Bhaktivedanta Hospital is designed and structured to provide holistic healthcare for the body, mind and soul with a unique broad-minded approach to allopathy, ayurveda, and homeopathy. While a naturally clean ambience cuts down the recovery time for the patients, a natural, balanced sanctified lacto-vegetarian diet enhances health.
