Why Skill Development and Enhancement?
In support of the Skill India Movement initiated by the Government of India,
GRDP has taken up the cause to enable the community to be skilled in
various fields. The lack of facilities for education of rural children had
deprived them of the employment opportunities, hence resulting in a stunted
growth of the community.

Our Skill Development program is aimed at fostering social entrepreneurship amongst
youth at the grass root level in rural communities. Thus creating confident individuals skilled to handle self-employment as well as generate employment.
The Details
Our idea is to train the students the philosophy of ‘Learning while doing’
- Thus we offer a one year course on “Diploma in Basic Rural Technology” recognized by the National Institute of Open Schooling by Ministry of Human
Resource Development, Course emphasies on “Learning while doing” and “Multi Skill Training”.
- Training is given in more than 73 skills in Agriculture, Engineering, Energy,
Environment, Food processing, computers etc.
- Course is implemented in such a way that various services to the community are
made available at a modest cost and giving real-life training to the students
